One of my favorite things to do in the classroom is to involve students with the holidays and activities they see their parents doing. Often so much attention is given to the Christmas and holidays in December, but very little attention is given to New Years.
New Years is an exciting time of the year. It's a time for new beginnings - a chance to start fresh! Adults typically set new goals and kids can too! It's the perfect opportunity to mention to students that we are "half way" through the year, let's make it great!
I have created this adorable (and easy!) flip book for students to celebrate the new year and create goals for themselves for the new year of 2016. The booklet contains three questions- What do is your goal for the new year? Why did you set that goal? and How are you going to reach that goal? Additionally, this product comes with graphic organizers, and even offers some reflection on the previous year.
You are sure to create memories for your students with this fun and quick activity!
