Students will use manipulatives to solve addition problems. Record the addition problem in equation form.

Students will choose a picnic addition mat and some ant manipulatives. I included a blank mat, so you can include your own addition problems.

Students will represent each numeral with ant manipulatives and add the ants together to find the sum.
Students will record the equation on the extension worksheet.

Kids love selling lemonade to make a little extra money. They feel so important as young entrepreneurs. It’s also a great way for children to work on money skills, budgets, profits and expenses.

In this product, students will use QR Codes to check their answers to their money task cards. They will then figure out how much they will need to open their own lemonade stand and how much they will charge. Students will get an idea of how a business works with expenses, profits and sales. Students can even design their own lemonade stand and write the directions in making lemonade. Teachers can cut out and laminate the task cards for learning

stations.

FREE MATH LESSON - “Multiply and Divide Integers Digital Puzzle”

About:

• “Beginnings and Beyond” are quick assessments your students will enjoy doing.  Not only are they digital and self-checking, but your students won’t remember they are practicing important concepts because they will be having fun.
• This maze allows students to practice multiplying and dividing integers (CCSS 7.NS.2)

Suggestions for use:

• Use as a warm-up, exit ticket, informal in-class assessment or homework assignment
• Assign half the activity as a warm-up and the other half as an exit ticket .
  

Activity Types (in the bundle):

• Mazes - Not only is each maze completely aligned to curriculum standards, they are also self-checking and engaging.
• Puzzles - Each time your student answers a standards-based question, a piece of a mystery puzzle will reveal.  If they get an answer wrong, they will know immediately since each puzzle is self-checking. As the questions are answered correctly and pieces are revealed, a math pun or joke will appear.
