FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Rejected Candy Hearts Valentine's Day Activity”

by Tracee Orman
10th - 12th Grade

FREE Rejected Candy Hearts Valentine's Day Activity - Bell-ringer and Conversation Starter {Use for bullying, sexism, relationships discussions}

If you have ever done Shakespearean Insult activity with your students, this is along the same lines as that.

Students will write sentiments that they would NOT want to receive on a candy/conversation heart. It also includes an acrostic poem exercise. (Two pages of activities, the rest are examples.)

WARNING!!! Many of the examples are NOT appropriate for younger students. (This is listed for grades 10 and up based on the EXAMPLES. You may use the activity with younger students, but I do not recommend showing younger students the examples.)

This would make a fun activity for a staff-outing or even a personal gathering of friends.
