1st - 3rd Grade
These topsy-turvy turtles make a statement about reading! My second graders were thrilled with these bookmarks. I use them in my class as a little reward in lieu of stickers!
Also, included are 2 half pages for peer book reviews, and 3 pages for book responses, or short book reports. Use for centers, independent work, homework, or to keep in a daily book log. Great for all those turtle lovers in your class.
These are fun to place in a book basket. Your kids choose a book, write a review to share with peers, and/or write a short book response to one of the prompts. This is a great way to highlight selected books, or for a new genre you may be introducing. Having a book basket filled with these is a great motivator for students to write a review and then receive a bookmark afterward.
Bookmarks look best if printed on sturdy paper or card stock, and laminated (or use clear mailing tape like I do). Punch a hole at the top and add ribbon or yarn and beads, or just use as is.
I hope you enjoy this free download. Thank you!
