Wednesday Weekly 5 Best Under $5 - 6/14/17

Here's a quick rundown of the best 4 (plus one of my own = 5) TpT items, in no particular order, for this week. Of course, all items are under $5, as well! With a variety of subjects and a wide range of grades, there just might be something that you can use, so continue to read below and see!

1.) Writers' Workshop in Middle Grades (ELA/Writing; Made by Mrs. Gray's Place; $1.50): This gives you a twenty day introduction to writers' workshop in the middle grades. From going through the rules of the workshop, to editing vs. conferencing, to the different genre of writing. Everything is covered or introduced in this twenty day plan. Although this is intended for use when the school year begins, it can easily be used at any point throughout the year to teach different aspects that are covered.

2.) Freebie First Grade Math Worksheets and Literacy Worksheets (ELA & Math; 1-2; Made by Little Achievers; FREE): Includes 31 sample pages from a larger bundle. Check out the link and samples from he product TpT page for more details.

3.) Argumentative Text Set - Does Homework Help You Learn? (ELA; 7-10; Made by A Teacher's Teacher; $2):This four-passage text set is accompanied by an argumentative prompt regarding the topic of the relationship between homework and student learning. It's a perfect assignment to engage students, as most students will have a personal opinion going into the assignment. On that note, it will also strengthen your students experience with the idea of using the text to support their writing, rather than their own personal experiences. Modeled after AIR Testing, which is used in numerous states across the country, it would also fit well into a PARCC simulation. The text set, itself, is 5 pages long.

4.) Flag Day - Word Search and Double Puzzle with Hidden Message (U.S. History/Holiday; 1-5; Made by El Jaguar; $1.25): This exciting Flag Day Word Search & Double Puzzle is a great educational opportunity for the last Days of School. Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. This word search will help you teach students about the significance of the stripes and colors of the American Flag. The American Flag is comprised of 13 stripes that symbolize the thirteen original English colonies. The fifty stars symbolize the fifty states. The stars are five pointed.

5.) Long Division with One-Digit Divisors Scavenger Hunt Game (Math; 4-6; Made by Math With Tyrrell; $3): Do you need a fun way for students to practice long division with minimal prep? The Long Division with One-Digit Divisors Scavenger Hunt Game gets students up and moving around while practicing math. In this activity, students use the answer to one problem to find another problem hanging around the classroom. Students will complete a total of 16 problems to create a list of explorers. The student worksheet, scavenger hunt problems, instructions, and teacher’s key are all included. This product is teacher tested and student approved. My students love seeing scavenger hunts on the agenda.
