There are two reading comprehension passages and questions. One is literary-based and the other is informational text. They are aligned to Common Core Standards RL.1 and RI.1. You will find 3 differentiated passages for each passage as well as 10 open-ended text-dependent questions. The passages come in two fonts. One being a font specifically created for dyslexic students. I would love your feedback on this portion of the freebie! I am thinking of adding it to the entire comprehension bundle. Thanks!

These highly-engaging reading comprehension passages offer 3 levels of differentiation and 10 open-ended text-dependent questions. The literacy passages and Informational Text are perfect for CLOSE READING. Each passage is a full-page to provide students with a complete narrative, drama, poem, or informational text to answer the questions effectively. The levels of differentiation range from 550-1000 for Grades 3-6. The questions are aligned to Fourth Grade Common Core Standards but work well for Grades 4-5 because they can benefit from using all 3 differentiated levels. However, if you are a Grade 3 or Grade 6 teacher, you may be able to use this resource as well. Please see the teacher notes for specifics on Lexile levels. Do you want to change a question to meet your classroom needs? No problem. The Bundle has PDFs that are editable!
What is included?
★ Reading Comprehension Passages: There are 18 full-page passages with 3 Levels of Differentiation- Total of 54 Passages. There are 2 passages per Common Core Standard and the standard is written in the top left corner of the page.
★ Open-Ended Questions: There are 1- questions per passage that work for all 3 levels.
★ 2 Formats of Questions: 2 Pages with lines or 1 Page without lines (Great for writing answers on a separate piece of paper or in a notebook
★ Teacher Version: This version includes all 3 student versions, teacher notes, and answer keys. (144 pages)
★ 3 Student Versions: There are 3 levels of passages. For each level, there is a student PDF file that can be placed on tablets or google classroom. Questions are included.
★ Answer Keys: For each answer key, teachers will know which questions are directly related to the standard. The standard answers are bold-faced.
