Chicka the Clown is a book I created for my class years ago when we were just ending our Chicka Chicka Back to School unit, but just starting a color and shape clown unit. So Chicka the Clown was born...a segue, if you will, between themes! I wanted an activity for them to complete at a literacy station, but I also wanted a drawing tutorial they could easily follow. Chicka the Clown is what I came up with and I have to say I was really impressed with the drawings my children produced. I also like the fact that they were reading the instructions and practicing colors and shapes as they went along. I hope you enjoy Chicka the Clown in your classroom! Richi Reynolds 2012
