FREE MATH LESSON - “Kindergarten Addition and Subtraction Freebie”

Story telling can be a fun way to introduce and encourage addition and subtraction with Kindergarten students. Use these activities for whole group, small group or individual work.

The color pages can be copied onto card stock and laminated. Cut the small boxes apart and use them for creating addition and subtraction stories. They can be used by the teacher for story telling in whole or small groups.

The black line copies are for students to use to follow the teacher’s story or to create their own.

Here is a sample story:

“The ballerina bear got home from her lessons first. Right after she got home the exercising bear and the grandma with cookies arrived. How many bears are now in the house?”
1 + 2 = 3
