FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Classroom Discussions, Tips, Strategies, and Benefits, Video for Teachers”

by Julie Faulkner
8th - 12th Grade

Classroom discussions can often be awkward - or worse, a waste of time. But, it doesn't have to be that way!

In this quick video tutorial, I'll share several tips for implementing and conducting classroom discussions. I believe we need to achieve the trifecta of reading about text, talking about text, and then writing about text in order to provide students with the best learning experience possible when teaching literature, nonfiction, poetry, or informational text in any subject!

In the supporting documents download, you'll find a couple of FREE ready-to-go handouts to help you implement and conduct classroom discussions.

Excellent for secondary English, but also effective for any subject. Being able to communicate effectively - to exercise those speaking and listening skills - is a key skill for life!
