Have you discovered the power of podcasts? It’s easier than ever to find, subscribe, and listen to literally thousands of podcasts on every topic from news, arts, business, comedy, education, politics, sports, technology, music, health, spirituality, hobbies, and more. Now with no prep for you, you and your students can join the movement quickly, easily, and purposefully with these podcast worksheets for analysis in printable and digital format. Add a paired podcast to your current unit of study, have students listen and respond for a sub lesson, or just conduct one of the activities as a stand-alone lesson.
Student Experience: Podcasts allow us to hear the voices of so many different people, and not only can you access viewpoints both alike and different from your own, but also you have knowledge at your fingertips and the ability to learn new things. The questions and tasks on these graphic organizers correlate directly with not only standards, but also with higher-level thinking analysis skills! They enable you to scaffold the listening process and take students step by step deeper into the text. The sheets can be used in isolation, or you could use several for one text depending on what your needs are. The best thing about podcast analysis worksheets such as these is that they work with any podcast you have for any level of secondary students in any subject!
