FREE MATH LESSON - Turkey Math Bingo Freebie

Turkey Math Bingo FREEBIE ( Grade 3-5)

A fun math Bingo game for Thanksgiving!
Before starting the game students randomly place their turkey squares on their empty grid and write the correct answers for each square.
This covers basic and advanced operations, multiples and factors.

There are 3 different versions of the game suitable for Grades 3 - 5.
Common Core aligned:

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Scooting to Christmas {freebie}”

Enjoy this freebie in the coming days before Christmas!

The theme is all things Christmas and the skill is beginning sounds.

Directions to play:
*Cut out the cards and place them on desks or around the classroom
*Have each child take a recording sheet
*Give the students a minute or two to read the clue and write the response.
*When you feel the class is ready to move to the next clue say “SCOOT”!
*Continue until all clues have been answered.
*When the class is done share the answer key for them to correct their work.

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “December Character Comprehension Project: Winter Wonders”

The whole objective of this FREE activity is for students to have fun showing their understanding of the elements of literature while teachers retain their sanity during this month of emotional highs and lows.

Although I offer time-frame suggestions in these Teacher Notes, I keep them general. My classroom colleagues should adapt this project to meet their needs and to address the abilities and skill levels of their students.

First, students choose a seasonal character from the list of stories, movies and television shows (or one of their own-with teacher approval). Next, they select a project to complete. Each of the six choices combines visual and written components. After they complete their projects, students will present them to the class.

This product includes Teacher Notes with Common Core Standards. Grading Rubrics for both the project and the presentations are also offered.

This activity is sure to hook students while they strengthen their understanding of the elements of literature and their analytic thinking skills.
