These alphabet wheels are designed to give your students fine motor practice (cutting, coloring, and printing) while they learn beginning phonics and alphabet skills. Have the children color the pictures, practice printing the letters, and then cut the two circles out. Most young children will need help fastening the two circles together with a brass fastener. When the alphabet wheel is assembled, the student holds the front circle in place with her thumb and pointer finger while turning the back circle with the other hand. In this way, the child can read each section of the alphabet wheel! This product fosters confidence as children practice one-to-one correspondence and initial alphabet sounds!
Also included is a handwriting practice page for each letter of the alphabet to coordinate with the alphabet wheels.
These alphabet shape books are designed to give your students fine motor practice (cutting, coloring, and printing) while they learn beginning phonics skills. Have the children color the pictures, practice printing, and cut the four shapes out. Students should then assemble the alphabet book by putting the numbered pages in order. The student or teacher can then staple the book in the indicated spot! When the alphabet book is assembled, the student can practice reading and saying the letter name and sound. I have also included a half-sheet practice page for each letter. These can be used for early finishers or as a mini-assessment. Alternatively, these can be sent home for practice with parents.
These alphabet puzzles are designed to give your students practice with phonics skills while also incorporating fine motor and problem solving skills. This set includes one alphabet train puzzle for each letter of the alphabet. Each puzzle comes in four different formats: Color with Numbers, Color without Numbers, Black and White with Numbers, Black and White without Numbers. I have also included thumbnail images of each puzzle that can be used as labels for storage envelopes. If you print the color puzzles on cardstock and laminate them before cutting, they will last for a long time. This type of puzzle is always a big hit with my students!
