This activity is from The Scripture Scout’s SLEUTH FOR THE TRUTH curriculum, so it uses key verses for the quarters, but it provides empty pages for you to fill in your own! There may be a small number or numbers (1, 2, 3, or 4) on the main pages. These show the quarter(s) where the game could be used the most if you are using the Sleuth for the Truth lesson plans.
This "spaghetti board" can be done on a small felt board, a tiny bulletin board, or anywhere you can tack these portions of the verse in various places. That way the student must string it to the correct "next words."
To make it EVEN MORE FUN you can have a creative teacher turn it into a dot-to-dot that will turn out to be an image of something that is revealed when the verse is completed!
EXAMPLE INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENT:
1. Find the verse in the Bible provided.
2. Read it to yourself.
3. String the yard around each pin to make the scrambled words say the same thing as the Scripture.
4. Now, say the scripture to yourself, without looking, until you know it by heart!
