Subtraction Word Problems (Easter)

You can grab this FUN word problem packet HERE!

Subtraction word problems in this packet are correlated to common core standard MCCKOA 2. There are 15 pages. Each page contains one subtraction word problem to solve. There is a number line for students to use to solve the problem. An empty box is available for students to draw the matching picture for the word problem. There is also a ten frame box for students to use for counters or for drawing or coloring in the boxes and an equation box containing blanks, a minus sign, and an equals sign. 

The 15 word problems are about Easter baskets, Easter goodies, Easter Bunny, Easter chicks, Easter fun, painting eggs, hunting eggs, sharing eggs, pretty flowers, hatching chicks, juggling eggs, jelly beans, prize eggs, and pretty eggs.

Addition Story Problems Book (April)

April Addition Story Problems Book (sums to 10)

Grab this cute addition story problems book HERE!

This 25 page book is designed so that you can copy the book, cut it in half, staple, and then it is ready for use. Each page includes a number line 0-10, an addition story problem, and an equation matching the story problem. The 25 pages consist of a title page “My April Addition Book.” Then the remaining 24 pages actually include 12 different addition story problems. Each story problem is duplicated on the page following it. The first page for each story problem has the equation (addends) filled in with only the sum missing. The equation for the second page for each story problem only has the plus sign and equals sign in the equation with blank lines for students to fill in the missing addends from the story problem. The students must read the story problems and find the missing addends for the equation and then solve to find the sum. The number line is available to help students solve each problem. These two different page types allow for differentiation of students. 
Some students are ready to read the word problem and find the sum while others rely on the equation being complete and only having to solve the equation. 

These story problems can be put together in booklet form as discussed above or individual sheets can be used. The story problems are on a half sheet of paper. 

These word problems are great for guided math groups, homework, math center activities, or morning work.

The 15 word problems are about Easter including the Easter Bunny, hiding eggs, hunting eggs, painting and coloring eggs, Easter basket, candy, chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, chicks, and tulips. 

This addition word problems pack is great for DIFFERENTIATING for your student needs. There are different levels of word problems. Five of the word problems ask for the sum of 2 addends (5+5=__). Six of the problems have a missing addend (4+__=8), and 4 of the problems ask for the sum of 3 addends (3+2+4=__). These levels are great when conducting math groups of different ability levels. Having the 3 addends helps challenge your higher level students.
