FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Digital Vowel Team Activities Diphthongs oi and oy”

This is a fun set of Boom Digital Task Cards for practice spelling and reading the vowel teams oi and oy. These activities engage kids in spelling and phonics word work using the /oi/ sound.

Students will choose the correct vowel team, drag the letters to the missing section of the word, and type in the missing vowel team. This deck includes 18 cards with pictures and sound to provide extra support for those who struggle with these sounds.

These cards work great for independent work, center activities, tutoring, RTI, and special education programs. Great for use with any reading program and Orton-Gillingham method, they make differentiation and assessment a breeze.

Are you looking for a short multicultural reading passage that will help you connect with your ELL or ESL students? This reading passage was written for ELL and ESL students who are looking for relevant language resources that center around places outside of the Western world. Focusing on Southeast Asia, this reading comprehension passage gets your ESL students reading about a little region in the south of Cambodia called Kampot. They will learn about the Cambodian holiday called Pchum Ben, a religious festival with a tradition of making offerings to past ancestors, and answer text-dependent questions about what they read.

This reading comprehension passage, set in Cambodia, has scaffolded reading questions your ELL and ESL learners can use to develop their skills with. Use this resource for easy homework assignments, supplementary reading material, and literacy centers.

Need something relevant to your ELL learners? This reading passage is set in Kampot Cambodia, a place where many ESL students are learning to read, write and speak the English language. The pages have imbedded images and graphics so you’ll easily be able to make students aware of what the town looks like. Presented on a text-messaging format using colloquial language, your students will love how this passage makes them feel like they write it.
