Are you looking for a simple spelling test format? This product has 3 choices - 10, 12, or 15 words. If you have a 10 word list and want to incorporate a couple of bonus, challenge, or vocabulary words, this set is perfect for you. Each of the pages has handwriting lines, allowing students to practice correct letter formation. Each page also has 2 tests per page, so you only have to copy half as many tests and then cut the page in half.

FREE MATH LESSON - “Common Core Math Tools K-3 - SPINNERS!”

42 full-page, full-color double spinners! Download the free preview for 2 free bonus spinners!

Use as games and practice by themselves or put with your own games instead of dice.

For these spinners you can use small or large, plain or colored paper clips. You have the kids lay the paper clip over the dot in the center of the spinner, then put the tip of their pencil on the dot (inside the paper clip) and simply flick the clip with their finger so it spins around the pencil.

This 46-page pack includes:

-A full page introduction to the wonderful world of spinners.

-A full page of primary math game ideas using only the spinners!

-Every spinner page shows directions with a picture and words.

-22 spinners with numbers from 0-9

-5 spinners with number words zero-nine

-5 coin spinners

-5 clock spinners

-3 blank spinners

-1 shapes spinner and a +1,-1,+2,-2,+10,-10 spinner

I left the hands off the clocks so you could put what you are working on - hour, half-hour, 5 minutes, etc. I have left some blank space on each page if you want to write your own "title" and/or directions for games.

Why I love spinners:

1. They fit into an envelope game. Add a few paper clips, and the kids have everything they need for the game in one place.

2. They show numerals, not dots. Dots are great for some things, but not for everything. You can spin for a one digit number, spin again to make a 2 digit number, spin again for a 3 digit number, etc.

3. You can copy them and send them home with a couple of paper clips for kids to use for homework or games. No need to search at home for dice!

4. There are 25 unique designs - kids like variety!

5. Blank spinners are included for you to personalize to a specific skill you are working on such as fractions or measurement.

FREE MATH LESSON - “3rd Grade Multi-Step Word Problems of the Day Story Problems | Back to School”

Build problem solving skills and confidence with a 3rd grade Word Problem of the Day! Students need continued and rigorous practice of the standards presented in word problem scenarios. Through daily practice with multi-step story problems, students build problem solving strategies and mastery of the 3rd grade math standards. These 10 Word Problem of the Day Story Problems give you a jumpstart on your problem solving for the year!

These rigorous, multi-step Problem of the Day word problems gives students practice and exposure with varying levels of difficulty, designed to take about 15 minutes per day. The problem complexity builds across the months, while spiraling through the third grade math standards preparing your students for success on weekly tests, state tests, and helping students master the standards in real world scenarios.

Some pages can be completed by students independently while others are intended for students to experience a productive struggle as they work to apply what they know in guided practice settings. The purpose of varying the difficulty of the skills is to build confidence in students’ problem solving strategies, while also pushing them to try new strategies independently. Some word problems include many steps to reach the solution while others require students to explain their work.

While an answer key is now included to support your classroom work, this product was created to build classroom discussions and practice around problem solving.
