Tell us about yourself.
My name
is Kathy Babineau. I’m a speech language
pathologist at an elementary school in Florida.
I work with students from Pre-K through Grade 6. In “speech” we work on everything from
vocabulary, to sentence formulation, to stuttering, to social skills, to
articulation and everything in between!
I also create and sell products on TpT that are fun and useful for my
own students.
What do you like best about teaching?
Being a speech language pathologist allows me to work with
kids of all ages and to collaborate with teachers on all grade levels. Each day is a new adventure and challenge!
Describe your favorite TpT product.
My
favorite TpT product is “Following Directions All Year”. It contains 50 different easy to use lessons
that address following directions, vocabulary, attributes and concept
terms. The lessons are connected to
seasonal themes and popular topics.
Teachers and SLPs love these activities because they are super low-prep,
easy to use and the kids love them. I
have used these activities in small groups, large language groups and in
whole-class lessons. The activities are
easy to differentiate if necessary.
What advice would you give to someone who may want to become a
seller at Teachers Pay Teachers?
Think of
what types of products are most helpful to you in your classroom. Research the TpT website including the seller’s
forums. Ask questions, connect with
other sellers and find your niche.
What have you done or hope to do with your TpT earnings?
I’m
currently using my earnings to pay off some bills that I have. I hope to save more and take my family on a
cruise!
What do you like best about being a member of The Best of
Teacher Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative?
The Best
of Teacher Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative is awesome! Since joining recently, I have seen a dramatic
boost in followers and sales. I have
connected with other sellers, found some great marketing opportunities and
discovered new ways to track my earnings and strategically market my products.
